We are hiring Senior Automation Engineers

Are you completely new to the field of automation and want a real challenge or are you a person with long experience who is now looking for new adventures? We are looking for you who have or are interested in a career within the maritime industry with the following skills (areas of responsibility and skill requirements will vary with experience, so don't be afraid to apply if you don't meet all requirements):

 Competence and experience

  • Degree in automation, computer science or related field 
  • Experience with programming automation systems and electrical power systems for ships 
  • Curious and eager to use modern technology in software and hardware to take shipping into the future. 
  • Insight into user experience and interfaces in alarm, monitoring and control systems and cloud services 
  • Ambitious and proactive in connecting ship systems to cloud services 
  • Advancing the exploration of AI and machine learning 

 

 

Your areas of responsibility will be

  • Define system architecture and collaborate with suppliers 
  • Lead/assist in the recruitment of automation specialists and build a skilled team 
  • Guide the team in good programming processes, project engineering work and delivery implementation 
  • Keep up to date with technology trends and help decide the company's technology use 
  • Develop and lead plans for the company's product portfolio 
  • Collaborate on an IT platform development for cloud services 
  • Ensure compliance with internal processes and external rules 
  • Play a central role in the installation, commissioning and servicing of products 
  • Collaborate with shipowners, shipyards, suppliers and partners 
  • Participate in market events and exhibitions 
  • Lead testing and approval processes for market launch 
  • Attend meetings with stakeholders across the supply chain 
  • Support start-up and commissioning of new solutions on board ships 
  • Creating software tools and processes for the technical department
