We are hiring Software Developers
Are you a passionate software developer who wants to be part of a start-up company with ambitions in maritime business? We are looking for you who want to develop new solutions in the maritime industry with at least 5 years of experience with architecture, design, implementation and testing. We think you have some of these skills:
Competence and experience
- A degree in software development, computer engineering, computer science or a related field
- Experience from managing IT projects
- Preferably with experience from the maritime industry
- Good knowledge of common programming languages such as C#, .NET, Java, JavaScript/Typescript, Node.js and Python
- Experience and knowledge of cloud services and platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud
- Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts and applications, with a strong desire to learn more as the field evolves
- Full-stack development with expertise in back-end development and understanding of front-end development
- Ability to implement CI/CD practices in software development to ensure smooth integration with application development and end users
- Optimization and quality assurance of code
- Experience in setting up and configuring web servers
- Experience with Time Series databases
Your areas of responsibility will be
- Design, develop, test and deliver a new digital platform that integrates onboard, cloud and land-based data systems for the maritime sector
- Collaborate with the engineering department and select partners/suppliers that work with on-board ship systems, such as SCADA, PLCs and IPCs
- Evaluate and decide which code and services should be developed internally and which should be purchased externally
- Ensure high integration and intuitive user interfaces with a high level of security
- Participate in extensive testing and approval processes before the digital platform is ready for launch on the maritime market
- Contribute to the recruitment of additional software developers when necessary, either internally or externally
- Participate in meetings with various stakeholders in the supply chain, such as suppliers, classification societies, national regulators, customers and others
- Support the engineering and service teams by creating software tools and processes that enable them to work independently
- Keep up to date with the latest trends and developments in programming and the maritime sector
- Be proactive and solution-oriented in the work to further develop the digital platform
