We are hiring a Hybrid Electrician/Electrical Engineer

We applicant de.g with a few years of experience from the maritime industry, which will help define the power and energy systems of the future for ships. Multiple energy sources and more advanced power and management systems means that bigger focus must be directed towards how these theyare signed and work together on board the ships. With us, you will be included on to both set the focus and to work out solutionis so that shipping in the future can be assured of stability and environmentally friendly operation. We think you have some of these competencies:

Competence and experience

  • Bachelor's degree in maritime subjects, electricity, automation or similar engineering studies 
  • Experience from the design of electrical propulsion systems on ships 
  • Programming experience, or general understanding of “Power and Energy Management Systems” 
  • Great interest in how the maritime industry can use modern technology in power production, distribution and application to meet environmental and efficiency requirements 
  • Understanding of, and eagerness for, safety on board ships and how advanced systems must be designed to provide stability, predictability and effective handling of unforeseen and unwanted incidents 

 

Your areas of responsibility will be

  • Project electrical power and energy systems, with all that entails in terms of documentation, calculations, approvals, selection of equipment, production and control systems 
  • Close collaboration with automation and IT colleagues to ensure good integration of the various components and systems and structuring/access to data 
  • Collaborate with other departments among the owners of the company, who can contribute both with human resources, technology and products 
  • Actively seek out what is on offer in the market for relevant, and new, technology that can be used 
  • Be strongly involved in delivery quality and start-up of systems at customers
