We’re looking for a Lead Project Engineer – Electrical Systems to shape our project delivery approach and lead complex maritime electrical system projects. Working alongside our Principal Electrical Engineer, you’ll own project execution from concept through commissioning while developing our engineering methodology and supplier relationships.
With several major opportunities on the horizon, this is a hands-on engineering role with significant opportunity to influence how we scale our delivery capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead electrical system project delivery from specification through commissioning
- Work closely with our Principal Electrical Engineer to translate technical designs into executable projects
- Execute electrical system engineering, integration and testing for marine hybrid power installations and ensure compliance standards and classification society requirements
- Develop supplier relationships and manage subcontractor coordination
- Provide technical expertise in pre-sales and tender processes
- Lead technical consulting engagements with shipowners and yards
- Support service, troubleshooting and optimization activities
- Contribute to product strategy and technology roadmap development
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years experience in electrical engineering with maritime/offshore project focus
- Proven experience delivering marine electrical projects (power systems, motor drives, energy storage integration)
- Strong knowledge of maritime electrical standards
- Experience with hybrid/electric propulsion systems and power management systems
- Experience with power management systems and automation platforms
- Proficiency in electrical engineering tools
- Understanding of maritime industry players (yards, owners, equipment suppliers)
