Find the issues before they find you.

We inspect and analyse electrical power systems on board. Common mode currents, corrosion paths, grounding faults, harmonic distortion, problems that cause bearing damage, equipment failure, and unplanned downtime. We identify root causes and recommend solutions.

Six areas we investigate.

Common Mode Currents

Stray currents flowing through unintended paths can damage bearings, seals, and electronics. We measure and trace these currents to their source.

Galvanic Corrosion

When dissimilar metals connect through the hull or seawater, accelerated corrosion follows. We map corrosion paths and recommend isolation strategies.

Grounding & Bonding

Improper grounding causes voltage differences that damage equipment and create safety hazards. We verify bonding integrity across the vessel.

Harmonic Distortion

Power electronics generate harmonics that overheat cables, trip breakers, and reduce equipment life. We measure distortion levels and identify sources.

Bearing Current Damage

High-frequency currents from VFDs and converters pit bearing races and lead to premature failure. We assess risk and recommend mitigation.

Power Quality

Voltage dips, transients, and frequency variations affect sensitive equipment. We assess overall power quality and recommend improvements.

Thorough analysis, clear recommendations.

Every survey starts with a systematic on-board inspection. We use calibrated measurement equipment to capture data across the vessel's electrical systems. The result is a detailed report with root cause analysis and prioritized recommendations.

1 On-board inspection Systematic measurement across all systems 2 Root cause analysis Data analysis and fault identification 3 Report & findings A detailed report with analysis and findings
